Antioch: A Church on Mission for Christ

Antioch has always been a mission-minded church, giving over 12% of our budget to missions. In addition, we support the North Carolina Missions Offering, World Hunger, Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.

Antioch's mission groups for children and youth include:

Mission Friends from two years old to Kindergarten
Girls in Action for girls in grades one through five
Royal Ambassadors for boys in grades one through five
Youth on Mission for young ladies and gentlemen
in grades six through twelve

Click to see some recent GA's activities!

We have several ladies' groups including:

  • Morning Prayer Group
  • Current Mission Group
  • Mission Action Group
  • Baptist Young Women

Our men's group is the Baptist Men.

Weekly Mission Moment

Many church choirs present musical concerts and children’s programs during December. “The Christmas County Spelling Bee” by our children was such a good program and they gave an outstanding performance. The beautiful cantata by our choir reminded us that Christmas truly is Jesus! The musical exalted our Lord and gave us hope as we approach this new year. The Christmas Eve service tied all of our worshipful services together as we were reminded of the Christmas story, from prophesy to the manger.

December is also the time Baptist churches focus on another area of worship: that of hearing and heeding the Messiah’s last command to carry the message of salvation to all nations. We are encouraged to learn about, pray for, and give money to support those who follow the Messiah’s command to go tell the story of Jesus.

We rejoice that our Christmas Offerings for International Missions have been good and contributions are continuing to be counted. Please bring additional envelopes or banks by next Sunday. To God Be the Glory!
